Here are a number of questions we get asked about our convention. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to email us at email@example.com.
1. WHAT IS FANDOM PDX?
Fandom PDX is a two day festival celebrating cosplay, video games, anime, comic books, sci-fi, tabletop game, and popular “geek” culture. The event started in 2012 (as Newcon PDX) and usually happens about twice a year.
2. CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN TO THE CONVENTION?
Yes! While we do host 18+ events in the evening (clearly marked with an I.D. checkpoint) – Fandom PDX is designed to be a “family friendly” event with panels, presentations, and workshops geared towards a variety interests and ages. We recommended parents read the descriptions of all programming (in the con guide or on the website) for details.
3. DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO BUY A TICKET, TOO?
Children ages 3 and under get in for free (with a paid adult admission).
4. HOW MUCH DO GUESTS CHARGE FOR AUTOGRAPHS?
This varies. Media guests usually charge for an autograph (usually around $20-$40). Additionally, guests sometimes charge for photos/selfies, voice recordings, and other elements available during signings.
5. I PURCHASED MY TICKET IN ADVANCE, BUT I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND/NO LONGER CARE TO ATTEND. CAN I GET A REFUND?
Green Mustard Entertainment, like other companies that run pop culture conventions, calculates event budgets and creates scheduled entertainment based on advance ticket sales. As a result, we cannot (under any circumstance) offer refunds once a ticket has been purchased. That said, you CAN update your advance ticket’s name and information before online pre-registration ends. For further clarification, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
6. I’M AN ACTOR/CELEBRITY/POP CULTURE PERSONALITY INTERESTED IN BEING A GUEST/FEATURED TALENT FOR FANDOM PDX. WHOM SHOULD I CONTACT?
Emails requesting involvement with our convention as a guest and/or featured talent should be sent to email@example.com. Your communication should include key elements about you: noteworthy entertainment roles, other conventions you’ve appeared at, etc.
