Fandom PDX is a celebration of fandom, and an integral part of that experience is FAN PANELS presented by attendees of our event. Do you want to showcase your favorite facet of cosplay, anime, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, or something else? Fill out our application and let us know!
Fandom PDX 2019
Happy Halloween! Thanks for your patience over the past couple of months. We have a lot of share about Fandom PDX 2019 over the next week, but we wanted to make sure we were doing it correctly… and that took more time than we anticipated.
THAT SAID: We are now accepting submissions for Artist Alley and the Vendors Room. Since we’re taking over ALL THE SPACE at the Sheraton in January, we will have more space for artists and vendors – which means more options for attendees!
You can find the Artist Alley 2019 information here: www.fandompdx.com/artists/
You can find the Vendor Room 2019 information here: www.fandompdx.com/vendors/
Each year we get dozens of email requesting to be a Guest / Featured Talent at our convention. This year, we have more space for our convention – which means more space for fan groups, cosplayers, and other creative convention personalities! SO – if you feel you could contribute to being a part of Fandom PDX’s celebration of pop culture – send us an email. Here’s what we need to know…
BIO: Tell us about you. This doesn’t need to be War and Peace. A single paragraph will do.
LOCATION: Are you local to Portland/Multnomah County – or would you have to travel?
GENRE: What category do you fit into? Examples:
- Fantasy (including Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, etc.)
- Science Fiction (including Star Trek, Star Wars, Doctor Who, Steampunk, etc.)
- Tabletop Gaming
- Video Games
WEBSITE & SOCIAL MEDIA: Include links so we can see your history in fandom and presence on the Internet.
OTHER APPEARANCES: What other conventions have you been a Guest or Featured Talent for?
PANELS/PRESENTATIONS: What specific panels or workshops or presentations can you offer? Fandom PDX focuses heavily on quality programming, and part of the expectation of featured talent is to present strong presentations for fans.
Put this all together in an email and send it to Contact@FandomPDX.com.
Don’t panic if you don’t hear back immediately. We have a lot of emails to sort though, but we WILL get back to you one way or another. Thanks!
It’s been a crazy summer since we re-launched Fandom PDX in June. Our production team (Green Mustard Entertainment) has been doing back to back to back events all across North America. Since we wrapped up the event in Portland, our team has run programming for the following conventions:
- Origins Game Fair (June)
- Anime Expo (July)
- Gen Con (July)
- Fan Expo Boston (August)
- Fan Expo Canada (August)
Most recently, our attention has been on Jacksonville, Florida, where Fandom PDX’s “sister show” WasabiCon has been working with the city in regards to the recent tragedy that occurred there and its impact on the gaming community.
Long story short: we’re a little behind schedule.
Now for the GOOD NEWS. A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes in regards to guests and production of the next convention. We appreciate everyone’s patience and we’ll be posting a number of updates next week.
